Kym & Rich were married recently at the stunning Colshaw Hall wedding venue. Colshaw Hall is one of the most popular wedding venues in Cheshire. A Colshaw Hall wedding offers a fantastic level of style, quality and exclusivity. And so it should. This was my third Colshaw Hall Wedding to photograph, and I love the place. The Hall itself is stunning - from every angle. And looks awesome as you approach on the main drive. A stunning backdrop for your Colshaw Hall wedding photography, no matter the season or weather. What is unique is the Stables - a separate building where the wedding ceremony takes place. It’s a short walk from the Hall or Peel Suite (Golf buggy if you’re a ‘A’ listed!) and is a great way to start the wedding day. The Peel Suite is where the main reception takes place, situated next to a private walled garden. Perfect to feel miles away from anywhere….

Bride & Groom in the Media

Both bride and groom work in the media, so they had a very definite style in mind for their Colshaw Hall wedding photography. After a quick Zoom call we knew we were right for each other. Rich is a Video Director and Content Producer - reminds me of my past career in TV Commercials, so knew what he wanted. And what he wanted was for me to quietly capture their special day, with little intrusion or posed photos. Perfect! So, armed with a couple of Nikons and four prime lenses (I travel light!) I went to Colshaw Hall a good hour before I needed to be. It’s worth it just to walk around and soak up the atmosphere of the stunning architecture and landscaped gardens.

Nala & Knot Award-Winning Bridal Makeup & Hair

It was brilliant to walk into Bridal Prep and see the lovely ladies from Nala & Knot working away, all smiles and laughter. This was going to be a great day, I could feel it! The music was on, the hairdryers were on, the game faces were on! Kym was very relaxed as she transformed from gorgeous lass to stunning bride, ready for a few bridal portraits. Mum was in charge of helping Kym into her dress. I was discreet and stayed outside until I was called in. Bridal portraits nailed in five minutes, then off to The Den for Groom preps. My day was running like clockwork, all down to Nala & Knot being so damn good at whet they do.

Libby Blunt Wedding Videos

I was working alongside the evert-chirpy Libby Blunt on video. Libby specialises in Fashion and Weddings, and is very talented. We worked quietly together, moving ‘in and out of position’ getting our images throughout the day. Nothing was compromised and at times forgot each other was there! Like a well-oiled machine, we captured Kym & Rich’s Colsahw Hall wedding perfectly. Libby worked on her own too, but ran a few video cameras for the speeches, so she had plenty of options for the final edit. I was quite happy with just the two Nikons…
