Spring Wedding at Hobbit Hill
Meagan & Scott booked me to be their Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer for their Spring wedding. I was looking forward to photographing another wedding at this stunning Ribble Valley wedding venue - I’ve photographed a few weddings as a Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer now. The place is simply magical!
Spring weddings at Hobbit Hill are fantastic. If the weather is on your side, then it’s not too hot, and gorgeous! The woodland area is a stunning area for your Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer. Meagan & Scott however opted to play things safe as the weather on the day was very changeable, so they were married in the Ceremony Room. I didn’t blame them either. As their Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer, I stayed with Meagan and the girls in the main barn, while my second shooter for the day joined the groomsmen in the Luxury Lodge for their preparations. Meagan (pronounced Meegan) wanted a second shooter for her wedding as she couldn’t get enough photos from the day! And she’s the boss!
Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer
This was to be my third time as a Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer, and I was loving it. Everything at the venue has easy access, allowing me to literally be in two places at once - sort of! As their Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer, I let things happen with no interruption from myself - all authentic and natural. Meagan had two wedding dresses for the wedding - a stunning black gothic gown for the day, with a shorter white dress (she could dance in later!). Both stunning, both unique…as were the Doc Martins and Converse to match. As a Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer, I was travelling light, shooting with the two Nikons and four prime lenses - no flash, apart from the couple coming back down the aisle as man and wife, otherwise they would have been black silhouettes!
Amore Event Stylists at Hobbit Hill
Meagan’s bouquet, plus all the room decorations were produced by the talented team at Amoré Event Stylists. What a beautiful job there did too, a real pleasure for this Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer to point the cameras at. The flowers and the room looked awesome!
Nicola Bird MUA
On makeup and hair styling duties was the talented Nicola Bird. Great fun to work with, and gets things done, really aiding this Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer keep to the timings for the day. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a great MUA for your Hobbit Hill Wedding.
Natural Wedding Photography At Hobbit Hill
I really enjoyed my day producing authentic wedding photography at Hobbit Hill. My brief was just to let the day flow and ‘do my thing’. I travel light these days at weddings, using two cameras plus four lenses - NO flash unless absolutely necessary as a Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer. The whole day was captured live and unstaged - apart from a few minutes of family group photos, plus around fifteen minutes of couples portraits after the ceremony.
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
