Charlotte & Kyle booked me for their October wedding at Styal Lodge . I love a good Styal Lodge Autumn wedding, especially the changing weather and the light it brings with it. I have been a Styal Lodge Wedding Photographer a few times now, and have photographed Styal Lodge weddings in all seasons and weather! Charlotte & Kyle’s Autumn wedding at Styal Lodge was one I was looking forward to. The weather wasn’t looking too promising however…

What If It Rains On My Wedding Day?

This is a question I am asked at every client meeting. If it rains on your wedding day, there are always alternatives ways we can work together to create your Styal Lodge wedding photography. In the Autumn and Winter months I always carry extra lighting kit with me, just in case the weather ruins our plans for any outdoor photography. You can see in this Styal Lodge Autumn wedding photography gallery just what I mean. However, it doesn’t always rain all day. Even the infamous Manchester rainclouds have to stop for a breath at some point! We can always re-jig your schedule, and photograph the family groups just before the wedding breakfast, leaving time for you to mingle with your guests…and time for me to keep an eye on the weather for some natural outdoor (or studio lit indoor) wedding photos. Sometimes we get a rainbow or a flash of sunshine in between the mains and desserts…so five minutes’ portrait shooting outside isn’t going to ruin anything! It rained for most of Charlotte & Kyle’s wedding day, but we had a small window of opportunity to get to The Lake, which we took. With our fantastic stunt driver, Laura, we whizzed across the 18th green for literally five minutes’ couples portraits on the jetty. The photos took less time than walking on and off the slippery surface! With a few minutes set aside for the indoor group photos, we were still on schedule, leaving Charlotte & Kyle with all the time available to mingle with their guests before the wedding breakfast.

Charlotte & Kyle’s wedding at Styal Lodge was literally an all-day party. From the end of the speeches the party kicked in! The wedding guests started dancing as soon as top DJ Adam Carr had set up! Adam’s a brilliant ‘floor-filler’ I’ve worked with a few times, and knows how to spin the right tunes. As the dancefloor filled, ironically it had to be cleared again to allow Charlotte & Kyle space for their first dance! Then boom! the floor filled again, the shots came out and the party exploded into life. Great work Adam!

Though Manchester-based, I am a Cheshire Wedding Photographer throughout the year too, not only at Styal Lodge. As a Styal Lodge Wedding Photographer, I am fully experienced with ‘All Things Styal Lodge’, having photographed weddings there since it opened. Rumour has it I photographed the very first wedding there. Yep, really. My Styal Lodge wedding photography is based on a very organic, natural approach. I tell your story unobtrusively and naturally, with little intrusion. NO cheesy posing, and NO heart-shaped group photos guaranteed. Charlotte & Kyle appreciated this and booked me for their Styal Lodge wedding photography, to ‘blend in’ and capture the day as live as possible.
