Rivington Hall Barn is a unique Lancashire Barn Wedding Venue located in the heart of Rivington in Lancashire. This Grade II listed Saxon Barn has been in the Salmon family since 1953, when it was fully restored into a functioning wedding and event venue. Rivington Hall Barn is still a family-run business, and a very popular Lancashire wedding venue. Rivington Hall Barn is complete with original beams and period features, has a magical ambience that is both traditional yet contemporary. I have worked at the venue a few times, producing Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography for my happy clients. The Barn itself has a conservatory and terrace attached - perfect for Summer weddings (think lots of Pimms and ice cream!)

Rivington Hall Barn is a unique venue, and a perfect for your wedding photos, but I’m naturally biased! The Barn itself offers an all-year round constant (and gorgeous) environment, whatever the weather is doing outside. But, for your Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography, you have the choice of spacious lawns, masses of woodland, surrounding fields plus the exterior of the Hall itself - a gorgeous Grade II listed Manor House. In summer especially, the late afternoon and sunset are particularly stunning times of day to photograph Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography outside on the lawns or down near the bridge.

Howard Wing Wedding Singer

On one of my previous weddings at Rivington Hall Barn, I worked with Howard Wing - one of the UK’s favourite wedding singers and all-round entertainer. Howard is a legend in the wedding industry and a very talented guy - well worth checking him out. On this particular wedding he had the entire 80+ guests up on chairs, had a crazy Conga Line round the venue, plus he tried to get the bride to sing live to everyone (the photo says differently!) It was a brilliant wedding giving me lots of photo opportunities for my Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography.

John Foxx & Ultravox

Those of you of a certain age will remember a 1980s band called Ultravox. Formed in the 1970s by Chorley-born Dennis Leigh, aka John Foxx. Ultravox was a cutting edge electronic band, paving the way for lots of new artists like Gary Human, Human League and Depeche Mode. John left in 1980 to go solo, and the band continued to have several hits with Midge Ure at the helm. Vienna was the big hit album and single. John is my all-time musical hero and I’ve been a fan since I was a teenager. I also own most of everything he’s ever recorded. So…why am I telling you this? Well…it turns out that one wedding I photographed at Rivington Hall Barn was the lovely Suzanne & Danny. Suzanne is John’s niece, and although a place was set for him in the Barn, he couldn’t attend the wedding reception sadly. But I got to meet his sisters and listen to the tales of Spandau Ballet et al coming round for tea and biscuits at the family home! Ah well…we still had a fantastic wedding with some really great Rivington Hall Barn wedding photography. And lucky for John I didn’t get to do that fan thing and bore him senseless during a break!
