Abbeywood Estate & Gardens

Abbeywood Estate & Gardens is a 45 Acre Estate nestling in the Delamere countryside, right in the Heart of Cheshire and Home to the Rowlinson Family since 1987. The venue provides a highly versatile space for weddings both indoors and out. Their gardens also offer a simply stunning backdrop to your day. With wonderful areas to entertain or relax in, your Abbeywood Estate wedding photography will be amazing too. The Glasshouse is a stunning purpose-built space, with a glass walkway from the Orangery & Cafe. It is licensed for Weddings and Civil Ceremonies, and can hold up to 190 guests - perfect for a Summer wedding. Add the stunning landscaped gardens, and you have the perfect location for your Abbeywood Estate wedding photography. The Garden Cafe and The Orangery, both situated next door to The Glasshouse are also fully licensed and can hold up to 85 & 70 guests respectively. I have photographed Abbeywood Estate wedding photography in all of these venues, and they are all brilliant venues in their own right.

Fancy an outdoor wedding? The Gazebo, situated on the lawn of the Orangery is a perfect choice. Bhavini & Adam opted for this for their summer wedding at Abbeywood Estate, giving me lots of opportunities to be their Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer. Or, if you’d like to be a little more traditional, why not have your wedding in the main house, with up to 70 of your nearest and dearest with you? Whatever you choose, you’ll have a fantastic day with some stunning wedding photography to cherish forever from your Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer.

Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer

Heather & Dan booked me to be their Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer around a year or so before the big day. Heather was getting ready in a cottage to the rear of the Glasshouse, whilst Dan and the Groomsmen were causing mild mayhem further around the estate, behind the main house. There were two photographers for Heather & Dan’s Abbeywood Estate wedding photography; on camera duties with me was my old pal Martin Hambleton. We have a similar style of shooting weddings…and use the same identical kit too, which is a bonus when it comes to editing the final wedding collection for our being an Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer each. Martin and I arrived at the same time for the preparations photos, and duly went our separate ways for an hour or so, photographing Heather & Dan’s wedding day on Nikon D750 cameras with 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm lenses. Martin brought a longer lens too as the weather was looking dodgy, so he had the ‘insurance’ of being able to capture the day from a safe (dry!!) location during the day as an Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer. And we needed it, as the rain showers hit all morning, but hey, these things happen! The weather didn’t affect our coverage of Heather & Dan’s Abbeywood Estate wedding at all, as you’ll see…

Unique Cheshire wedding venue

Abbeywood Estate really is a unique wedding venue, with the four options of indoor weddings, or a stunning (and very photogenic!) outdoor ceremony with the Gazebo for the ‘legal bit’. Heather and Dan’s wedding day was going to be a brilliant all-day celebration at this unique Cheshire wedding venue. I was really looking forward to be their Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer. As the guests started to arrive, Dan and the groomsmen went round to greet them. Lots of hugs, lots of smiles and selfies at this unique Cheshire wedding venue meant the party had technically already started, albeit low key for now. As Heather finished her preparations, the bridesmaids were already in position for her arrival at the Glasshouse for the ceremony. The showers were still coming down for this Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer, but with plenty of umbrellas, everyone was in great shape for the ceremony. Plus the weather actually made for some great Abbeywood Estate wedding photos!

Wedding Photos at Abbeywood Estate

The ceremony was perfect, and talking of perfect, Heather even adjusted Dan’s buttonhole mid-ceremony for their Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer, so it would be straight for their Abbeywood Estate wedding photos afterwards. From the ceremony we went into the drinks reception in the Orangery & Garden Cafe for about an hour or so. We took the gamble that the weather would break and we’d be able to photograph some wedding photos outside, as the Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer. Bingo! The rain stopped right on cue and we photographed a few family group photos next to the bridge behind the Gazebo, plus some natural portraits of Heather & Dan simply ‘enjoying the moment’. This section of my being an Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer was still going to plan, and the light was gorgeous. By now it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Heather went first and threw us all! She had warned me earlier in the day that she may be first on the mic, and true to form she was, giving me some great photos, together with Dan, and the other speakers. Their Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer collection was going well.

Best Wedding Band In The North West

Heather & Dan had booked (and not just my opinion) the best wedding band in the North West - The Rush Band. I have worked with Gavin and the lads on quite a few weddings now, and they never fail to impress me with their energy and passion for their music. As an Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer, the dance floor gave me lots of great photos of the party revellers. From the first dance, the floor was packed, as Heather & Dan had gifts of money pinned to them by the wedding guests, while Gavin mingled with the crowd to showcase a few guest singers. Some good, some…erm…not so. The music and the setlist was getting better and better as this Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer moved around the dancefloor, dodging flailing limbs as the guests partied on. I’d loved my day being an Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer…thanks for having me on board Heather & dan!

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
