Mitton Hall Wedding In Winter

Faye & Ash booked me for their Mitton Hall wedding from a wedding fair organised by Little White Books. Theirs was to be a gorgeous Mitton Hall winter wedding at this much sought-after wedding venue. A Mitton Hall winter wedding always makes me smile when I see the booking forms for the season. Mitton Hall has to be one of my top three wedding venues to work at…whatever the season. You can see why - and more of my Mitton Hall wedding photography here. Faye & Ash’s Mitton Hall winter wedding was to be full of fun and emotion, as you’ll see. The couple were booked to be married in January, thought the weather felt more like Autumn. Perfect light, perfect couple and a perfect day for a Mitton Hall winter wedding.

Wedding Preparations at Mitton Hall

Wedding preparations at a Mitton Hall winter wedding normally start upstairs in the Dining Room. This oak-panelled room is nice and dark, with some gorgeous directional light from the end windows. A very atmospheric way to start my Mitton Hall winter wedding photography. Mid morning, the bridal party transfer across the upstairs balcony to the Bridal Suite, where the dress will be hanging, all ready for the ceremony. As a Mitton Hall winter wedding photographer, I can judge when to pop in and out of the preparations to capture the groomsmen or other partner’s party getting ready in the small dining room on the ground floor. I can also photograph the conservatory, all set up and ready to go as part of my coverage of your Mitton Hall winter wedding. As your wedding guests start to arrive, I can grab some natural reactions and the ‘wedding hugs’ as the excitement builds for your Mitton Hall winter wedding.

Emotional Wedding Ceremony at Mitton Hall

I really wasn’t prepared for how much emotion would manifest with Faye & Ash on their Mitton Hall winter wedding. Ash was in great spirits throughout the morning with his groomsmen and the wedding guests, though had to compose himself a few times before Faye walked down the aisle. She too was emotional as her dad proudly escorted her down that famous white carpet. Faye managed to hang on and not ruin her makeup though. Just. This was an emotional wedding ceremony at this Mitton Hall winter wedding - and a privilege to capture for my clients.

Emotional Wedding Speeches at Mitton Hall

From the ceremony, we photographed a few family group photos, plus a few minutes’ of natural portraits of Faye & Ash ‘out front’ and in the rear garden. It was a bit too cold for the guests to mingle on the terrace, so they were all snugly mingling inside the conservatory. Soon it was time for the speeches, and these were to be some of the most emotional wedding speeches at Mitton Hall I have ever witnessed. Ash was brilliant with his address to the wedding guests, but his brother had to help out a little when it all got too much. We have all been there, and Ash emerged a hero as Faye quietly wiped her eyes.

I really enjoyed my day as a Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer, producing Faye & Ash’s wedding collection for their Mitton Hall winter wedding. I worked light, using small prime lenses and available light when I could, so as to not draw attention to myself. I pride myself on my Mitton Hall winter wedding photography being natural, not staged with unnecessary posing (ugh!) and full of life. I think we nailed it at this Mitton Hall winter wedding!
