Ashes Barns Wedding Photography - Heather & Rob
Highlights from Heather & Rob’s wedding at this unique Wedding Barn venue
The Ashes Barns Wedding Photography
Heather & Rob booked me for their Ashes Barns Wedding Photography, loving my natural style approach to wedding photography. The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue is an exclusive, no-corkage wedding venue, set in Staffordshire. A very popular and unique wedding venue, The Ashes Barns provides a fantastic wedding experience, with the wedding ceremony taking place in the West Barn, while the wedding reception is across the patio opposite in the East Barn. I arrived nice and early for Heather and Rob’s Ashes Barns Wedding Photography, and met Heather and the girls getting ready in The Old Dairy – now a converted cottage.
Summer Weddings at The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue
It was late July, and the weather was proving to be hot, though with a potentially troublesome storm forecast. Fingers crossed we would beat any bad weather. And we did. :-) This was going to be a perfect Summer wedding for the couple’s Ashes Barns Wedding Photography. Rob duly arrived on time with his Groomsmen. Time for a couple of informal shots of the boys while I darted back and forth to The Old Dairy to see how the preparations were progressing. This day of The Ashes Barns Wedding Photography was going to be epic! As the ceremony time approached – along with a large coach filled with wedding guests, things were ‘warming up’ nicely. A very chilled Rob was greeting family & friends as they arrived, whilst a slightly nervous Heather putting her wedding dress on. All going to plan so far for this The Ashes Barns Wedding Photography, which was brilliant.
The Ashes Barns really is a unique Staffordshire wedding venue, and amongst the very best in the North west of England.
Wedding photos at The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue
The grounds at The Ashes Barns are stunning too. A large pond sits to the side of the main house, with a larger man-made lake just down the drive towards the main road. Luckily for us, the Canada Geese who live by the lake stayed calm and gave us space while we photographed some lovely natural and stylish wedding photos. Some were posed even….but the majority weren’t! Can you tell the difference? We spent around fifteen minutes shooting these couples photos for their Ashes Barns Wedding Photography and used as much of the area as we could. Lots of variation, that’s what we needed! I don’t spend ages photographing my clients, so they can get back to the guests and have some fun with them…that and I had run out of jokes….
Ice Cream at a Summer Wedding
As the wedding reception gathered momentum, plenty of ice cream and Pimms was on offer to the guests - a great photo opportunity for Ashes Barns Wedding Photography. I was offered both several times, but I resisted, keeping focused on my job producing Heather & Rob’s Ashes Barns Wedding Photography. The weather was holding, lovely blue skies with a touch of cloud cover. Perfect for a few family group photos before the main wedding breakfast in the East Barn. Another barn, looking stunning in it’s unique rustic style. With the speeches after the meal, I had time to re-arrange some of my kit and grab a bite to eat myself. Still no ice cream or Pimms for me though working on the Ashes Barns Wedding Photography.
Wedding Speeches at The Ashes Barns
After the speeches, we had a few minutes to grab some fresh air and a few more relaxed, natural portraits of the happy couple as The Ashes Barns Wedding Photographer. Then there was a dramatic change in mood as the volume went up to 11 for the first dance and subsequent evening party! A split style wedding cake and lots of Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Limp Biskit flooded the dancefloor for the first dance and beyond. Took me by surprise I must admit, but makes a change from the usual first dance songs. Awesome call guys – you nailed it!
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
