Shireburn Arms Wedding - Emma & Jason
Highlights from Emma & Jason’s brilliant wedding at this popular Lancashire wedding venue
A Shireburn Arms Wedding
I do love a good Shireburn Arms Wedding. Emma & Jason booked me to be their Shireburn Arms Wedding photographer a good year or so back. It was to be my first visit to this charming (and very popular!) Lancashire wedding venue. I was really looking forward to traveling light, shooting on mostly 24mm and 50mm prime lenses. Here are some of the highlights from their brilliant Shireburn Arms Wedding. Obviously, since we were in deepest Lancashire, it was raining when I arrived…but the forecast was looking promising. Fingers crossed…
Classic English Rose Bride
I caught up with Emma as she arrived early at The Shireburn Arms. And she looked stunning too! She’d been ‘down the road’ having her hair and makeup preparations, and wanted a little privacy. This Classic English Rose Bride was a little nervous about being the centre of attention, but the with girls around her, the atmosphere was calm and quietly excitable and the nerves were dwindling. Mine weren’t…ha ha.
Wedding Ceremony in Lancashire
After the ceremony, we all ventured downstairs into the snug. Again, the rain was sporadic, so we held off photographing any family group photos for an hour or so. The rain didn’t relent, sadly, so we quickly took the photos inside. Working with my favourite 24mm and 50mm combination, I was able to move around the guests quickly and unobtrusively, capturing Emma & Jason’s big day as it happened…all live and unstaged. Suddenly the weather lifted and it was looking promising for the rest of the day. Great news…off we go into the speeches before the wedding breakfast.
Speeches at a wedding
The speeches were brilliant, funny and emotional. Everything you’d expect from this couples’ family and friends. Mark, the wedding manager became part of the speeches too…inadvertently calling Jason by the wrong name. We’ve all done it , but fair play to you Mark for being a great sport…
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
