Sparth House Wedding Venue

Chloe & Ben booked me to be their Sparth House Wedding Photographer for their summer wedding. They booked me around a year previous to their big day at a wedding fair. They had chosen Sparth House to be their perfect wedding venue, one which I have photographed several weddings before. Sparth House is a lovely family-run wedding venue, and a bit of a Tardis - it’s larger than it looks!

Sparth Housel describes itself as…

“Sparth House is a beautiful Georgian manor house, situated in the heart of Lancashire. Our family run Lancashire wedding venue has been the setting for many wedding celebrations, with couples enjoying this fabulous setting and exclusive use of Sparth House for their special day.

Our award winning and dedicated team is here to take care of your wedding; from initial ideas with our in-house wedding planners; Katie & Emma, to making sure your special day is everything you dream it to be.

With unique features, including our beautiful photogenic gardens and our night before Garden Apartment, we think it will be love at first sight when you arrive for your tour of Sparth House wedding venue Lancashire.”

If you’re looking for a wedding venue, full of character and charm, then I would definitely add Sparth House to your wedding planning list. I have worked as a Sparth House Wedding Photographer for mixed and same-sex weddings at the venue, and can thoroughly recommend shortlisting it for your wedding.

Sparth House Wedding Photographer

As I mentioned, I have been a Sparth House Wedding Photographer a few times before. It’s always fascinating to photograph three or four weddings at the same venue, but them to be so totally different in approach and ‘feel’. Chloe & Ben’s big day was no exception. I was already looking forward to being their Sparth House Wedding Photographer with my unobtrusive approach to capturing weddings. My Sparth House wedding photography is always authentic and natural.

Prosecco Pong at a wedding

After the speeches, it was time for the Prosecco Pong….Girls v Boys. The glasses had shots of lager or Prosecco, and the aim was to bounce a table tennis ball into an opponent’s glass making them down the contents in the one ‘shot’. . The game started quietly enough….but 30 mins later it was chaos, lots of singing and chanting, lots of celebrating - giving this Sparth House Wedding Photographer some great reactions to photograph.

Documentary wedding photography at Sparth House

I really enjoyed my day as Chloe & Ben’s Sparth House Wedding Photographer, producing mostly unposed wedding photography at their summer wedding. But, my brief was just to let the day flow and capture their story as it happened, live and unstaged. We did photograph a few family group shots and a brilliant confetti run just before the wedding breakfast. Some great legacy images for the family from my being their Sparth House Wedding Photographer.

For the photographers out there I worked with 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm, lenses. No zooms, just comfy shoes! I am really happy with this collection - not over edited, but natural, and authentic - which is my style as a Sparth House Wedding Photographer. Classic, authentic wedding photography throughout the North West.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
