Stirk House Wedding Photographer - Rachel & Dan

Highlights from Rachel & Dan’s summer wedding at Stirk House in the Ribble Valley

Ribble Valley Wedding Venue

Stirk House is one of my favourite wedding venues to work at. Located at the top of The Ribble Valley (“Wedding Valley” as we know it) between Sawley and Gisburn, Stirk House is a very popular award-winning Ribble Valley wedding venue. With regards to their awards over the years, Stirk House say the following…

“We are honoured to have received a number of awards and accreditations in recent years at Stirk House. We strive to deliver the very best service to all of our guests and take great pride in welcoming people from all over the world to this special place that we are so very proud of. Several of the awards we have received have been voted for by our wedding couples, or have been given following the many kind and thoughtful reviews from those who have spent time at the hotel”

Recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer

I am also a recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer, and have been for a few years now. As a Stirk House Wedding Photographer, my natural style is to shoot unobtrusively with little to no intrusion from myself. My clients love this, and book me as their Stirk House Wedding Photographer mainly because they don’t want to be ‘in front of my camera’ all day posing for unnecessary photos. No, my clients let me just ‘do my thing’, and it shows in the results we achieve. No fuss, no gimmicks, no problem!

Weddings at Stirk House

Weddings at Stirk House are always good fun. Dave, the Manager (‘Legendary Dave’ as we know him) runs the day brilliantly with military precision. The staff are awesome too - nothing is too much of a problem. Rachel & Dan booked me as their Stirk House Wedding Photographer from a wedding fair about a year previously. They loved my authentic, natural photography and approach to capturing their special day as one of the several weddings at Stirk House I’ve captured over recent times. For the photographers out there, I used 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm lenses. NO zooms, just comfy shoes to get around quickly and quietly.

Wedding Film at Stirk House

I got to work with Armelle, from Armelle Films for the first time at Rachel & Dan’s wedding. Armelle is lovely to work with, very friendly and professional. We hit it off straight away, and felt like we’d know each other for years. I would highly recommend her as an option for a wedding film at Stirk House.

Authentic Wedding Photography at Stirk House

From preparations, till the dancing, my day as a Stirk House Wedding Photographer was busy, but really enjoyable and relaxed too, (if that makes sense?). It didn’t really feel like work as my clients were so relaxed, and immersed into their special day. And, with only a few minutes’ away from the celebrations for some couples photos and a few family group photos, the day was really well paced. Though, they did ask for a specific photo - the ‘Just Married’ converse sole photo as a Thank You card, which was a laugh to photograph.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
