Stirk House Christmas Wedding - Alicia & Oliver
Highlights from Alicia & Oliver’s Christmas wedding at this stunning wedding venue
Stirk House Wedding Venue
Stirk House is one of my favourite wedding venues to work at. Located at the top of The Ribble Valley, between Sawley and Gisburn, Stirk House is a very popular award-winning Ribble Valley wedding venue. With regards to their awards over the years, Stirk House say the following…
“We are honoured to have received a number of awards and accreditations in recent years at Stirk House. We strive to deliver the very best service to all of our guests and take great pride in welcoming people from all over the world to this special place that we are so very proud of. Several of the awards we have received have been voted for by our wedding couples, or have been given following the many kind and thoughtful reviews from those who have spent time at the hotel”
Stirk House is one of my favourite wedding venues to work at, and I have produced Stirk House wedding Photography for a number of weddings now.
Mick Cookson - Recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer
I am also a recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer, and proud to say I have been for a few years now. As a Stirk House Wedding Photographer, my authentic wedding photography style is to shoot unobtrusively with little to no intrusion from myself. My clients love this, and book me as their Stirk House Wedding Photographer mainly because they don’t want to be posing for impractical amounts of time. No, my clients want to enjoy their day and to let me just ‘do my thing’. I think it shows in the final photos we achieve. No fuss, no gimmicks, no time-wasting.
Stirk House Christmas Wedding
Alicia & Oliver were married between Christmas and New Year, and it was brilliant fun photographing this Stirk House Christmas wedding. Alicia had designed and produced the stunning room decor - a beautiful red theme, which (from my perspective) complimented the yellow net curtain backdrop in the main room. Though we worked naturally in a documentary style, we had time after the ceremony for a few family photos, plus a few minutes’ couples photos outside on the not-so-warm winter’s day. But we also found a few minutes to grab a couple of photos next to the Christmas trees in reception and the main lounge. Well, when in Rome…
The wedding ceremony was beautiful to be part of. Oliver’s mum read one of the readings, but the emotion got to her half way through. Oliver’s dad got up to help her finish the reading. It was then Oliver’s turn to feel the emotions kick in as the ceremony progressed. Touching moments, all caught on camera, silently and unobtrusively at this Stirk House Christmas wedding.
From the preparations to the dancing, Alicia & Oliver’s Stirk House Christmas wedding had everything; fun, laughter, emotion and some great moments during the speeches.
Authentic Wedding Photography at Stirk House
From preparations, till the dancing, my day as a Stirk House Wedding Photographer for Alicia & Oliver was brilliant; enjoyable and relaxed. I kept busy, maintaining my subtle approach to capturing this Stirk House Christmas wedding, using small prime lenses on the trusty Nikons. No flash, just atmospheric images as they happened, captured by me, a Stirk House Christmas Wedding Photographer.
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
