The Samling Wedding Photographer

I have been The Samling wedding Photographer on a few occasions now, and have seen the venue in all seasons (sometimes in one day in the Lakes!) The venue is a fantastic choice for your Lake District wedding, with fantastic views across Windermere, toward Grizedale Forest and Hawkshead fells. The weddings at The Samling tend to be smaller, and more intimate. I once photographed a wedding with twelve guests. The clients put me up in a stunning room of my own for their wedding! (You know who you are…thanks guys!) As The Samling wedding photographer I get to travel and work light. Normally I can photograph the whole wedding with two cameras and about three prime lenses. No need for lots of equipment here, the weddings just don’t need it…especially if you’re treated as a guest too! Karen & Simon booked me to be their The Samling wedding photographer from a meeting we had in Alderley Edge at their home. We hit it off straight away, and Karen told me not to worry about Simon’s inability to ignore the camera, or smile naturally…she will sort it! And she did, as their The Samling wedding photographer, my day was full of natural moments, mostly unposed documentary images with only the odd sarcastically funny glance to camera from Simon throughout the day. I’ve left a couple of photos in the collection, so you’ll see what I mean.

Lake District Wedding Photos

The Samling is situated just off the main A591 Windermere to Ambleside road, up it’s purpose-built drive. It stands on a hill overlooking Windermere and the landscape opposite, making for some brilliant Lake District wedding photos as part of my being your The Samling wedding photographer. Just a short trip down the road you have the jetty opposite the Low Wood Bay Hotel - again perfect for some classic Lake District wedding photos. Especially towards sunset! as The Samling wedding photographer, we could schedule in a few minutes to ‘pop out’ and grab some stunning images down on the jetty…or you could treat your guests to a cruise around Windermere. I have done this too, and it makes for some great natural candid photos as part of my being The Samling wedding photographer.
