Barn Wedding In Lancashire

Lauren & Sebastian planned their wedding to be in the barn at Lauren’s parents’ home up in Lancashire on the Bury / Rossendale border. I love a good barn wedding, especially a barn wedding in Lancashire, and this day was going to prove to be brilliant! I arrived early to photograph Lauren and the girls getting ready in the main house, but had to time to view the barn, all set up for the party to come later in the day. The location where the wedding reception was going to be held, has to remain a secret, sorry, but this barn wedding in Lancashire looked gorgeous, even with the lights off, and all locked up until after the church ceremony.

Christ Church Walmersley

Lauren & Sebastian were to be married at Christ Church in Walmersley. The vicar was amazing and sadly I never got her name. No silly rules, just great fun to work alongside. She made everybody’s day with her jokes and fun attitude to the ceremony. Even waiting outside for Lauren to arrive, with around a hundred guests in church waiting, the vicar was dancing and singing with us on the street outside. Wish they were all this great! Christ Church is the family church too, so it was all very relaxed!

Victoria Louise Wedding Videos

On video duty with me was the brilliant Victoria, from Victoria Louise Films who, like the vicar was just a bag of fun to work alongside all day. Nothing was ever a problem, and Victoria just smiled and laughed with the wedding guests all day long too, juggling three-camera setups from time to time. She comes highly recommended, and I have referred her to other clients looking for videographers for their wedding day.

Colin Crompton Comedian

A little before my time really, was a comedy show called the Wheel Tappers & Shunters Social Club on Granada TV. It was a fictional working mens club, hosted by Bernard Manning and Colin Crompton. Colin was famous for constantly destroying my home town of Morecambe with his jokes - all in good humour of course - he loved the place! The show launched several careers in comedy and entertainment, the magician Paul Daniels and Cannon & Ball to name two famous, past acts. Turns out that Lauren’s dad is Colin’s nephew! Small world…

Barn Wedding Photographer

I have photographed several weddings as a Barn Wedding Photographer; Bryony & Anthony’s wedding at Eden Barn and Julie & Graeme’s wedding at Browsholme Hall & The Tithe Barn to name but two. Oh, and I have photographed a few weddings at the stunning Rivington Hall Barn too! Lauren & Sebastian were super chilled about the way I worked as their Barn wedding photographer, letting me do my thing and tell their story naturally and with minimal posing for camera. Apart from the phone box shot, that just cried out for a little choreography!
