Mitton Hall Wedding Photography - Francesca & Edward
Highlights from Francesca & Edward’s Summer Wedding at Mitton Hall
Mitton Hall Wedding Venue In The Ribble Valley
Mitton Hall is a stunning wedding venue in the Ribble Valley. And one of my favourite venues to photograph at. Owned and managed by James’ Places, as part of their Dream Venues Collection, Mitton Hall is steeped in history and character.
As they describe themselves:
“On the banks of the river that gives its name to the Ribble Valley, stands the stunning manor house that is Mitton Hall. Effortlessly beautiful and unashamedly romantic, the ancient external architecture is enhanced by inspired contemporary interior design to create a venue that is unrivalled and unique. With a fabulous Party Room flooded with natural light, stunning gardens and an outdoor terrace, Mitton Hall truly is the ultimate dream wedding venue”.
Kerry Baker MUA
It was brilliant working alongside top MUA Kerry Baker (it always is!) Kerry is fantastic at her job, and even better at time keeping, keeping everything on track for the photos when Francesca put her dress on. I can thoroughly recommend Kerry for your wedding….
Football Themed Wedding Ceremony
I didn’t know at the time what Edward did for a living…until we were at St Mary’s Church Penwortham. From the start, Canon Paul (who I know from recent shoots at his gorgeous church) is a big Preston North End fan. As Francesca and her dad arrived at the end of the aisle, Canon Paul asked ‘who gives this woman away?’ Francesca’s dad smiling dutifully handed Francesca’s hand over to Edward. Canon Paul then proceeded to show a red card to dad, who, smiling, retired to his pew. A brilliant in-joke, and an even better start to a wedding ceremony! Especially when next on the list was the Best man, who was immediately ‘benched’ for the ‘first half’ of the ceremony. It was great fun for this Mitton Hall Wedding to be. As the ceremony progressed, Canon Paul mention Edward’s ‘dodgy’ job as an EFL football referee and proceeded to give him a tongue-in-cheek hard time over it. Very funny! Even better when I was photographing the couple in the vestry signing their register. Canon Paul walked in front of me as I was shooting. I coughed loudly, and as he turned to apologise, I drew the VAR screen in the air and told him he was offside……made his day that!
Aston Martin Wedding Car
Edward had a stunning Aston Martin DB5 for his wedding day….and what a machine it was. £750,000 worth of DB5, one of only a handful in the world, the car has been used in Film & TV, and a prefect addition for the groomsmen’ black tie James Bond feel for the wedding style. Perfect for the couple’s Mitton Hall Wedding Photography.
Wedding Videos at Mitton Hall
It was great working on the couple’s Mitton Hall Wedding Photography alongside talented videographer Victoria from VLV Videos . We work well together, having covered a few weddings now. Quietly doing our thing, with no intrusion into Francesca & Edward’s day, we produced some great imagery between us. And she put on her best ‘mum voice’ to gather people for the group photos at church! I can thoroughly recommend Victoria for your wedding video, especially working alongside your photographer producing Mitton Hall Wedding Photography.
Mitton Hall Wedding Photography
I really enjoyed my day producing Mitton Hall Wedding Photography for my clients, at this stunning venue. From an emotional dad seeing his daughter for the first time, all dressed and ready to go, through the laughter and football-referenced jokes throughout the ceremony, to the brilliantly funny speeches, the day was perfect! I used prime lenses all day for that natural style of documentary Mitton Hall wedding photography. The majority of the day was shot using a 35mm / 85mm combination lens, for that natural ‘feel’. I am really looking forward to producing more Mitton Hall Wedding Photography again soon.
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
