Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer - Ailsa & Colmn

Highlights from Ailsa & Colmn’s outdoor summer wedding at this gorgeous Lancashire wedding venue

Mytton Fold Wedding Venue

Mytton Fold is a gorgeous wedding venue set deep into the (now famous) Ribble Valley. I say famous as it is one of the main venues featured in the quirky TV Series on the W Channel ‘Wedding Valley’

Together with its modern-meets-rustic feel, Mytton Fold is a perfect choice for your wedding. The main room is gorgeous, with large windows at one end, a raised stage so you and your top table get a unique view of your wedding layout…and you can see who the naughty guests are too! Add to this, the spacious grounds, perfect for your Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer to ‘do their thing’, plus 34 rooms for guest accommodation, Mytton Fold has everything you need for your special day.

Aisla & Colmn booked me for their May wedding having met me at a Mytton Fold wedding fair. The couple booked me on the spot for their outdoor wedding - weather permitting. Weather permitting? It was one of the hottest days of the year! 😂

Duncan Fisher Hair Design

It was great working with Duncan again as Aisla & Colmn’s Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer. Duncan is brilliant at what he does, and more importantly…punctual!! Nothing runs late with him, and it’s always good to know he is part of the team, making my likfer as a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer that little more relaxed.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Mytton Fold

Aisla & Colmn planned their wedding day perfectly. It was to be outdoors in the glorious sunshine, in front of the Pagoda. The wedding guests were seated either side of the red carpet, just over the ornamental bridge. By ceremony time, the sun was full tilt, with the temperatures reaching 28 degrees - hot enough for any couple getting married. Not too bad for me as I had my emergency bucket hat on (sorry, I have no pictures…) so working outside in the gorgeous grounds and sunshine as a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer meant I could see the screen on my cameras. It also meant I could walk around a little more than usual - the registrars were great fun and very relaxed, allowing me to be a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer with my trusty zoom lens in full use for this wedding.

Singing Waiters at a Lancashire Wedding

Ailsa & Colmn’s wedding was May Bank Holiday weekend, so most of the guests stayed outside for the drinks reception. One or two took shelter in the lounge, so I could jump in and out as a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer capturing everyone having fun. As the wedding guests took their places, a stunning three course meal was served, with the speeches to follow. Apart from Colmn I was the only person in the room know what was to follow! Right on cues as the Best Man finished his speech, one of the waiting staff fell and dropped a champagne bucket on the floor. Guests jumped up to help the poor guy sprawling on the floor ‘in pain’. Many looked in real shock as I ran in as the Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer taking photos of him….and then….he got up singing. The look on Aisla’s face was priceless, as was many of the wedding guests. Two more ‘waiters’ appeared and the show started! From classic songs, to a large conga, plus a lot of napkin twirling, I got bustled around as I photographed the party. More lovely photos for my collection as a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer….and lots which made my clients’ wedding collection too.

Tesla Wedding Car

It was also great to see Robin from Falcon Hire and his now famous Tesla on wedding duty too. Colmn and his groomsmen arrived in style, and perfectly on time too, giving me some great photos of the lads as part of the Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer wedding collection. Ailsa & Colmn went for a ride into the Ribble Valley for around half an hour whilst I carried on being a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer. Great to see you again Robin!

Natural wedding photography at Mytton Fold

I really enjoyed my day producing natural wedding photography at this Mytton Fold Wedding. With a handful of family group photos and a few natural portraits of Ailsa & Colmn taking a few minutes each (quick and painless I promised them!), we captured the day perfectly! Big shout out to Patrick, Paris, Lisa and the team at Mytton Fold for a brilliant day! Cheers for inviting me to be a Mytton Fold Wedding Photographer guys!

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
