Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer - Nadia & Joe
Highlights from Nadia & Joe’s brilliant wedding at this stunning Cheshire wedding venue
Tatton Hall Wedding Venue
Tatton Hall, the Mansion in Tatton Park is one of the finest wedding venues in Cheshire. Owned and run by The National Trust, Tatton Hall is a stunning venue for your wedding, and therefore your Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer.
“Surrounded by 1,000 acres of Cheshire Parkland, beautiful meres and ornamental gardens, Tatton Park is the perfect backdrop. We have an enviable reputation for providing one of the most photogenic locations for any celebration”
If you’re planning a Cheshire wedding, then Tatton Hall should definitely be on your list. With space for a small to medium sized wedding, the Entrance Hall is a stunning, intimate space for your ceremony, whilst the spacious Tenants Hall can cater for a party of any size…well, almost!
Celebrant Wedding Ceremony in Cheshire
Nadia & Joe did the ‘legal bit’ a few days before their Tatton Hall celebration. As a Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer, I was really looking forward to this wedding…it looked awesome! Nadia & Joe booked me as their Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer by referral really, as I know Nadia’s parents. Since the registry office ceremony was over, there was no pressure on anybody for this wedding, though I carried the usual thoughts and plans about being a Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer for the day with me….but even more relaxed. One of their best friends was the celebrant for the ceremony. A brilliant mix of emotion, happy tears and laughter filled the room for that section of my being a Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer for the day. The room looked very atmospheric, with lots of daylight bouncing through the windows, though changing slightly as the rain showers came and went. We were hopeful for good weather for the afternoon.
Cheshire Wedding Videos
Up for the day was the lovely Hollie on video duty. Based in Northampton, Hollie is a friend of Nadia’s and came ‘up North’ to capture hers and Joe’s big day. Hollie is a great videographer, and splits her time between weddings and corporate shooting (like myself I suppose). As a two-person media crew, we worked really well together capturing the day, and looked after each other whilst I was being both a Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer…and being trampled in the Ceilidh (more of that later).
Father of the Bride is a Hallé Orchestra Musician
As I mentioned, I know Nadia’s parents. Julian is a musician. Not just a musician. Julian is a professor of music, teaching at both Chethams School of Music, and The Royal Northern College of Music.
Oh…and plays French horn in The Hallé … Julian’s Father of The Bride speech was incredible. Heartfelt, funny and touching. But he floored us all talking about Nadia’s favourite bedtime book when she was a toddler. He described how Nadia would want the book read at least five times before going to sleep. There was a tune that accompanied the book too. So….he played it on the French horn. Everybody cried. Me too. What an incredible moment, one I simply cannot describe here, but I couldn’t look back at the 80+ guests all emotional. The silence was deafening as that solo French horn lullaby echoed around Tenants Hall. I had to keep telling myself I wasn’t a guest, I was their Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer…
Natural wedding photography at Tatton Hall
I loved the day at Tatton Hall. The guests were awesome, the weather well behaved (after a couple of stutters) so we managed to get a lot photographed as naturally as I could as a Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer, working alongside Hollie for two sets of couples portraits adding to the couples Tatton Hall Wedding Photographer collection.
Ceilidhs at a wedding
After the emotive speeches came the Cake Cut and First Dance. The cake, sorry cakes were a brilliant Colin & Connie The Caterpillar combination, complete with baby versions! After the first dance it was chaos time. A full blown Ceilidh band, with full instructions on how to spin, jump, shout, run around and wheel your partner right up to and past the two camera people in the middle of the room. Marginally scary at times, but nobody got hurt…just! I shot this section old school using a simple on-camera flash with a slow shutter speed to add blur to the photos. Worked well I think!
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day…
