Stirk House - A Ribble Valley Wedding Venue

Stirk House is one of my favourite wedding venues to work at, and one I seem to photograph more than most each year. I always enjoy working with the team on a Stirk House Wedding - the staff are so helpful and friendly. Then there’s the legendary ‘Human Dynamo’ Dave! Based just off the A59 at Gisburn, a few miles past Clitheroe, Stirk House is a gorgeous, exclusive wedding venue to definitely shortlist for your big day.

It describes itself as…

“We are honoured to have received a number of awards and accreditations in recent years at Stirk House. We strive to deliver the very best service to all of our guests and take great pride in welcoming people from all over the world to this special place that we are so very proud of. Several of the awards we have received have been voted for by our wedding couples, or have been given following the many kind and thoughtful reviews from those who have spent time at the hotel”

Recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer

I am also a recommended Stirk House Wedding Photographer, and have been for a few years now. As a Stirk House Wedding Photographer, my natural style is to shoot quietly and unobtrusively with little to no influence. My clients love this, and book me for their Stirk House Wedding on this basis, allowing me to ‘do my thing’ and capture their Stirk House Wedding naturally and authentically. No gimmicks, no forced posing, and NO Heart-shaped group photos guaranteed!

Stirk House Wedding

Weddings at Stirk House are always good fun. Dave, the Manager (‘Legendary Dave’ as we know him) runs the day brilliantly, and with military precision. The Bridal party get ready upstairs in one of the large suites, then moving to the honeymoon suite an hour or so before the ceremony. The Groomsmen can prepare in any room - even the TV lounge with its curtains and all-round privacy. A Stirk House Wedding is really well self-contained, and access to all the key areas within seconds from each other. Perfect too, for if the weather isn’t playing ball! If you haven’t already, I would recommend adding a Stirk House Wedding to your planning shortlist…

Authentic Wedding Photography at Stirk House

I tend to photograph full days at a Stirk House Wedding, from preparations before the ceremony, up to the dancing. My authentic style is favoured by many of my clients too - timeless, and gimmick-free. I pride myself on my authentic wedding photography at Stirk House. For the photographers out there, I tend to use two Nikon cameras coupled with either 24mm / 50mm or 35mm / 85mm combinations for that love feel, and the sometimes low light we have at weddings in general. Here’s another one of my Stirk House Weddings….Jen and Ben’s family-orientated celebrations, with some of my favourite photos from the day…
